Perhaps you have wondered what it would be like to get to know your preferred artist? Not the most common things like the name of their latest album, or what their lyrics mean or discovering what their star sign is, no a great deal more interesting stuff. I’m sure you’ve, most of us have.
We already like their music, their style, their image, the way they make us feel, what we really want to find out about though are typical those issues that make them seem much more tangible and human like, such as who influenced them, what can they be doing should they didn’t enter the music industry, what makes them tick, that kind of thing.
Take Paulo Nutini like, this Scottish guy with the exotic sounding name has Italian roots and really started hitting our iPods together with his second album Sunny Side Up, he wanted it to convey joy and it did. Now if he hadn’t entered the music industry he would have been working in the family fish and chip shop. That’s if he didn’t achieve his other ambition of wanting to be always a footballer, a goalie to become more precise.
Paolo includes a tattoo on his arm of three of the band we realize as Texas, he only has three of these when he ran out of cash. He prefers the markets in London to Harrods, he smokes pot, loves Disney songs, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and he’s been inspired by Van Morrison, Ray Charles and the Drifters. He also admits to playing nineties dance hits like’I like to go it’by Real2Real and boom Boom Boom’by Out here Brothers. Altogether an over-all nice guy is our Paolo.
So how about James Blunt? His father wanted him to follow along with in his footsteps and join the military, which he did, and after serving six years he got out what is michael blakey net worth. A couple of weeks later he’d signed an agreement and was well and truly ensconced in the music market. Now that is fast.
He says his musical inspiration originated from his mother who made him learn the piano at the tender age of 7. One of many strangest issues that he’s ever done is put his sister up for sale on eBay. He really did that. She couldn’t arrive at a funeral in Ireland so he listed her as a Damsel in Distress that needed a Knight in Shining Armour to get her there. In pops some guy with a helicopter to rescue her and the 2 of these ended up married. How romantic. Yes, our James has a little eBay addiction and has sold the whole contents of his flat on the site.
Let’s look at someone very different, like Katie Melua. She spent my youth in communist Georgia; well she did till she was 8. Katie always wanted to be always a politician or a historian and said if she could rule the world she’d be able to bring about world peace. Oh, the innocence of all of it eh? Her inspiration originated from Queen, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan and of course Eva Cassidy. Her song,’Faraway Voice’is really a tribute to Eva.
Kate’s early entry to the music industry was at age 15 when she entered a singing competition and won. Besides winning a bedroom makeover and an armchair on her behalf dad, she also got to look on TV. She was eventually “discovered” by Wombles guy Mike Batt when studying at the Brit School for Performing Arts. Batt wasted no amount of time in signing her as much as his Dramatico label.
